Yep, we said it. Baby. Pandas. Try not to hyperventilate guys… but Er Shun, the adult female panda at the Calgary Zoo, is now in the early stages of her breeding cycle.

AKA, we might be getting little black and white fur nuggets at the Calgary Zoo in as soon as 5 months or so. Tiny, helpless, adorable, ridiculous fur nuggets.

It’s not guaranteed that Er Shun will conceive, but zookeepers are pretty hopeful. They say the potential mom is in good body condition and good health, which means the back-of-house nursing den could be being used before we know it.

Excuse us while we cry tears of joy and obsess over baby names. Anyone else down for Chien-Po? Or what about Mushu? (Yes, we have a bit of a Mulan obsession, don’t @ us.)
