University of Calgary named one of Canada’s most diverse employers

As if we needed more proof that Calgary has some pretty great organizations! Thanks to its policies, staff members, and events, the University of Calgary is one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers!
Held annually, the CBDE Top 100 competition is open to all employers with a head office in Canada. That’s a lot of companies, guys! Especially when you consider that all organizations no matter the size can apply.
According to a public press release, the U of C is “leading the way towards creating an inclusive respectful workplace for everyone,” which is something that hopefully we can all get behind.

This is actually the fourth year in a row they have been included in this list. If we had to guess, it’s probably because the U of C encourages and trains all staff the same regardless of gender, race, mobility and orientation. Honestly, it’s 2020 and everyone should be doing this, but we’re proud of them! It’s not easy to get recognized as one of the best.
“Making the list of Canada’s top 100 diversity employers for the fourth year is very meaningful,” says Dr. Dru Marshall, Provost and Vice-President of the U of C. “The University of Calgary can only reach its full potential when everyone on campus feels valued and supported for the contributions they are making.”
Congrats, U of C. You rock, don’t ever change.
