Alberta study using Cannabis to ease COVID symptoms showing promise

University of Lethbridge scientists Igor and Olga Kovalchuk continue to make headway in their study to prove that Cannabis could help manage COVID-19 symptoms!
As outlined by The Calgary Herald, the duo has tested over 400 strains of the plant, and believe that they may have found one high in CBD with anti-inflammatory properties that could actually be effective.
The new study, which is being monitored by Health Canada, uses an artificial model of human tissue to see how the contagion finds a host in the lungs, intestines, and oral cavity. Based on their findings they’ll be able to test the strain, which will likely be used in the form of a mouthwash, inhalent, or gel cap.

Hey, if the Kovalchuk’s and Health Canada think it’ll work, we’re behind them! We’re no scientist, but it makes sense! CBD is often used to reduce swelling on the outside, so with the right stuff, it could have the same effect on the inside of the body.
Now, it’s important to note that this should not be mistaken for a ‘vaccine’ or a cure. Their findings will simply ease the severity of the symptoms. It’s also important to emphasize that these guys have tried a ton of different strains. You should NOT go and eat you stash if you’ve been diagnosed! It definitely will not have the same effect.
We’ve been following this story for a while now guys, so we’ll continue to update you on their findings! This is an interesting one, for sure! Who would’ve thought that the key to helping people survive the COVID virus could be cannabis!
