5 new restaurants in Calgary you need to check out this month

We really, really love food. Like, everything about it. So you can imagine that when a new spot opens, we’re on cloud nine! This month, celebrate with us by checking out these 5 new restaurants around Calgary. We’ve got a few new kids on the block, a new location for an old favourite, and highly anticipated brick and mortars. Enjoy!

OUR DAILY BRETT

Our Daily Brett finally just opened its new location and man, is she a pretty one. The “new” market, cafe and restaurant has been a long time coming, and now includes an espresso bar, seating for 50 and massive patio!

Where: 1507 29 Avenue SW

FREE HOUSE

This brand new casual beer hall celebrates local sips and local food! The spot was brought to life by the same restaurant group that brought us Bonterra Trattoria, Posto Pizzeria, and Cibo on 17th, so we’re ready to bet big that it’ll be great.

Where: 1153 Kensington Cres NW

CARMINE’S PIZZERIA

New York-style resto Carmine’s Pizzeria has hit us with another location in the Southwest! Unlike their northwest location with a counter-only ordering system, Carmine’s will now have table service and more room to eat in and hang out, with a capacity of 32 people.

Where: #9 3109 Palliser Drive SW

DON’T YELL AT ME

Don’t Yell at Me is a mega-famed cafe overseas opened by Taiwanese popstar Yako-Chan. Later this month, it will open its very first location in Alberta! This whimsical chain currently has shops in Japan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia among others, and has decided to take on good ol’ Cowtown. We’re pretty stoked for this one, guys. We don’t know if their bubble tea is any good, but the cafe itself is aesthetic AF and they’re open until late.

Where: TBD – 17th Avenue

DRIPPIN SAUCE

Drippin Sauce is a “modern burger joint” expected to open its first brick and mortar later this March. Currently, they deliver out of the Street Eatery, and are available on SkipTheDishes. Trust us, you’re going to want to check this place out. They’re mighty good.

Where: TBD

There you have it, 5 new restaurants in Calgary you have to check out this March! We’re thinking it might be a time for good bite, don’t you? Check you out there, friends!
