Home of the Week: An affordable, adorable Manhattan loft in Victoria Park
Via Royal LePage | RE/MAX House Realestate

Okay, so if you’ve seen Gossip Girl even once, chances are you’re forever obsessed with the idea of living in a Manhattan-style loft. This Curiocity Calgary Home of the Week is basically one “Lonely Boy” monologue away from being Dan Humphreys’ NY apartment, and it’s actually affordable! So unexpected, so rare! Let’s take a look-see, shall we?
CALGARY HOME OF THE WEEK

This 928 square foot millennial dream home in downtown Calgary is within walking distance of almost everything. Not that you’ll actually want to leave it, ever, because it’s gorgeous. Very ‘moody-elegant’, if that’s a thing.
With a walk score of 95, this place is seriously only a hop, skip and a jump on over to grocery stores and Stampede Park. It’s also only minutes away from coffee shops, retailers, restaurants and transit. This is handy, despite there also being heated underground parking available as well. Convenient!

The one bedroom, one and a half bathroom space is wide open and breathable thanks to 18-foot ceilings, large windows and natural light that practically touches everything in the home.
The kitchen is a comfortable size with exposed concrete flooring, which is actually original to the building (fun fact), and a ceiling with contemporary wooden panelling. V modern, oooh.

The upstairs bedroom has a ton of character but in an easy-breezy-effortless way. There’s quite literally nothing to it. Walls? Pft, we never heard of her. Look down over your exposed pipe railing onto your living room right from your bed. Really, who needs privacy anyway? Right?
Haha, just loft things.

Luckily, the ensuite bath still has a working door! There’s also double sinks and a pretty big shower, so that’s cool too.
But are you ready for the best part? This Manhattan-style loft will only cost you a cool $519,900, which is significantly lower than like, 90% of the places we feature on this segment. Not too shabby at all if you ask us! If you’re interested in getting your CW teen drama on, you can check out the original posting here!
Happy house hunting, friends!
