Happy Tuesday, people of the internet! Welcome to another Curiocity Calgary Happy Happy Hour of the Week! We could probably all use a little warming up from the inside out today, don’t you think? Maybe a few brewskis? We hear a drink or two works wonders.
Happy Hour of the Week
They haven’t been in the game for very long, but Waalflower understands that happy hour shouldn’t be limited to a single-window of time a day.
They also understand the feeling people get when a bartender lights something on fire. The shiver down your spine when the glass burns blue probably means that you’ve ordered their feature Zombie cocktail. You’re not a pyromaniac, you’re just thirsty.
Waalflower has a ton of sharable plates and out-of-the-box drinks. From their flammable tiki-style cocktails to their to-the-point tapas, everything on their menu is locally and sustainably sourced. So yeah, you might be destroying your liver but you’ll be helping small businesses! Isn’t that nice?

You can really get the job done Tuesdays to Thursdays from 2 to 6, and 9 to close. Fridays from 2 to 6 and 10 to close, Saturdays 10 to close… and drumroll please, (because this is the absolute best part) ALL DAY on Monday during their happy hour.
Unfortunately, their happy hour menu doesn’t include the Zombie, but it does include a pretty good selection of sips all under $10, like:
- The Cosmo – vodka, triple sec curacao, fresh lime, cranberry juice
- Manhattan – bourbon, sweet vermouth, angostura bitters
- Tom Collins – London dry gin, pressed lemon juice, club soda
And house red and white wines, their Perks of a Waal-Lager beer, everything on their zero proof menu and a selection of appetizers like ribs, pizzas, wings, and burgers. You know classic comfort food. Stay cozy, Calgary!
