HAPPY HOUR OF THE WEEK: SHELTER COCKTAIL BAR & LOUNGE
Shelter cocktail bar and Lounge is a one-of-a-kind dining experience inspired by war trenches and apocalyptic aftermath. What a concept! Combining modern mixing technology with pre-prohibition flavors, the edgy bars’ incredibly unconventional drink menu and their over-the-top theatrical decor make for a night out that you definitely won’t forget.
First of all, the ambiance at Shelter is seriously out of control. The lounge is artfully decorated with stand out pieces like gas masks and unsettling portraits and lit with over 5,000 individually light hung bulbs. Uhm, wow.

In addition to the impressive seasonal cocktail selection, Shelter also has an extensive list of wines, spirits, and some tasty tapas. Okay, enough small talk. Let’s take a look at the happy hour deals at Shelter.
Every day from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, all beer is only $7, featured wines are $8 per 5 oz glass, and select premium cocktails start at $7.
Now, before you feel like this is a standard happy hour, let’s take a glance at these ‘select premium cocktails’, shall we?
1. Lillet Collins – Tanqueray Gin, lillet, thyme, green chartreuse, cucumber
2. Blood in the Water – Tanqueray Gin, lillet, lemon, rose, peychauds bitters
3. The Sundance Kid – Buffalo Trace Bourbon, varnelli dell-erborista, chocolate mole bitters
4. Mui Caliiente – mezcal, campari, sweet vermouth, angostura and hellfire bitters
5. Nothern Lights – empress gin, burwood medica, sage
