Hi there friends! Welcome back to the latest installment of our weekend things to do in Calgary. This week, we’re most excited about going to a Lobster BBQ because that is a rare opportunity. There’s also stuff going on at the Deerfoot City, the Mad Max Parade is going down… it’s a nice time.

Inn From the Cold’s 4th Annual Lobster BBQ
Hey folks! Ready for some seafood? Realistically if this was anyone else we would keep all the lobsters for ourselves, but since this event is put on by Inn from the Cold we won’t be shellfish. Along with Delta Calgary South, Inn from the Cold is presenting its 4th Annual Lobster BBQ.
When: Saturday, June 22 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Destination: Deerfoot City’s Story Time & Crafts with Calgary Public Library
Join Deerfoot City for their Go Learn, a story time and crafts program for kids hosted with the Calgary Public Library. Cozy up fireside inside The Food Lodge and enjoy interactive activities. There will be stories, singing, crafts and complimentary treats and more!

Buffo’s Sunday Supper

When it comes to pizza places in Calgary, we can all agree that we don’t have too many authentic choices to pick from. We’ve got some tasty spots, absolutely, but when it comes to getting a hefty, perfect NY-style slice, Calgary is damn-near empty-handed. Well, Calgary was emptyhanded. We’re happy to announce that Carmine’s will be opening this Friday! Go give ‘er a try!

Mad Max Ride YYC
Think Mad Max, but like way more fam-friendly. You’ve got Max Max Ride YYC! Join in the parade as it heads down to a Sled Island Block Party. All modes of non-motorized active transport are welcome to enter (bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, etc.), and you can win prizes in a bunch of different categories!
