Sled Island announces 2nd wave of performers

Sled Island gave us a taste of this year’s lineup back in February, and now we’ve got another announcement! We were already excited about this annual festival that showcases over 250 musical, comedy, art, and film performances in over 30 venues around the city, but now we’re even more stoked! Here is who Sled Island has just recently announced:

Rapsody

Despite being in the music game since 2004, Rapsody got her real big break in 2016 when she signed with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. She hasn’t slowed down since, racking up two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song in 2017. With accolades like that you know she’s going to be bringing serious heat to Sled Island.

Jessica Pratt

Often associated with the new-ish freak folk movement, Jessica Pratt has become a well-established presence in today’s singer-songwriter scene. Some of her comparisons include Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, and Joan Baez, so you know she’s got the goods.

Some of the other notable performers that were announced include the oddball Southern-trap star Jack Harlow, the R&B slinging Har Mar Superstar, and former indie-rocker current electro-bopper Graham Van Pelt. It’s an eclectic lineup, but that’s what we’ve all come to know and love from Sled Island.
