8 things to do this week in Calgary (March 16-20)

Listen, we know that things are pretty crazy right now, so that makes our list of things to do somewhat difficult to put together. Any or all of these things may indeed be cancelled, but we still want to let you know of the things happening around the city. That being said, be safe, wash your hands, and we strongly encourage you to practice social distancing, even if that includes doing absolutely none of these.
Here are 8 things to do (possibly) in Calgary this week.
ITALY COAST TO COAST DINNER
A drink and four-course meal? Take your taste buds on a trip to Sicily, where you’ll explore the Italian region. Cibo will be serving up rich starters, flavourful mains and delicious desserts from 6 pm – 9 pm on Tuesday, March 17th.

CELEBRATE ST. PATRICKS DAY AT ONE OF CALGARY’S BEST PUBS
Celebrate the year’s booziest holiday by catching Irish dancers and bagpipe performances while sipping for less on Monday and Tuesday at Kilkenny Irish Pub or Limerick’s! Reservations are recommended and will be accepted until 3 pm at Kilkenny’s and 7 pm at Limerick’s on Tuesday, March 17th.

VIVIAN MAIER: IN HER OWN HANDS
This week, check out the Glenbow Museum’s mysterious new exhibit. Vivian Maier: In Her Own Hands features over 100 photographs found at a Chicago auction house by chance, each giving the viewer insight into 30 years of American city life as captured by one of the most enigmatic figures of twentieth century photography.

ENJOY A WINTER WALK
This is the perfect time to get out and enjoy yourself a good snowy stroll. The weather is a bit touch and go, but it’s a fairly safe alternative to being cooped up inside. We know it’s tough right now, but it’s nothing a little fresh air can’t make better for at least an hour or so. Also, your dog will thank you, trust us.
