This app lets you watch Netflix with your friends remotely

We miss a lot about the world as it was weeks ago but what we miss most, is being able to sit on the couch with a friend and talk our way through a movie on Netflix… despite being told to keep it down. Some call us “Sally Soundtrack,” but we prefer to think of ourselves as a real-time critc. A commentator even! Well, fellow film educators, fear not! The Netflix Party extension is a virtual application that lets the tradition live on!

A night in with the gang is only a click away. The Netflix Party application grants relief to the extroverted, enabling them to once again catch a flick or a tv show with a group of people while putting safety first!

All you have to do is download the extension, start watching any show or movie on Netflix and press the “NP” button on the right-hand side of your chrome browser. The app will give you a link, which you can then share with your friends and family, and that’s it! Just like old times.

Netflix party will open a group chat for you to spoil away, or just ignore. Either way, it’s nice to know you’re not alone. Ah, quarantine, but make it fun!
