BrandZ, the world’s largest global equity study, has released the list of Canada’s most valuable brands in 2019. Unsurprisingly, RBC and TD Canada came out on top, but there are a few fun facts lying around in the report.
Both of Canada’s largest banks are valued at over USD $20B each, while telecoms giant Bell trails in third at USD $13.3B. Those three were the only Canadian brands to be valued at over $10 billion, but a couple of sleepers came close.

For example, did you know that the apparel company Lululemon is worth a whopping $7.5B? As a brand, it’s more valuable than CIBC, Rogers, and Telus. Now that’s a serious number to put beside yoga pants.
Tim Hortons also landed in the top 10, trailing Lululemon by about a billion dollars. Once again though, we had no idea that the fast-food chain known for Timbits had so much value tied to it.

Of course, we’re just scratching the surface of an incredibly in-depth report here. The list of Canada’s most valuable brands includes metrics like consumer confidence and differentiation. It also includes important next steps for Canadian brands.
