Canadian company Arc'teryx to produce 900,000 reusable medical gowns

Sportswear company Arc’teryx has shifted its focus from windbreakers to the frontline and has been working with healthcare professionals to create a line of reusable personal protective equipment in the midst of a worldwide shortage. Bravo!

The company, and its partners at Mustang Survival and Boardroom Clothing, have actually been working tirelessly since the beginning of April. They have already managed to produce 500 units of Level 3 certified gowns. The hope is that these will aid in the protection of Canada’s doctors and nurses during the COVID outbreak.

The first 500 were distributed throughout the British Columbia health care system, but there are 30,000 more in production and 900,00 expected in total. This will change and save lives, guys.

If that wasn’t enough, they’ve also made the PPE pattern available to the public, so those with the appropriate equipment are able to manufacture their own to distribute to the medical community.

Wow. Just, wow. People are amazing. Snaps for Arc’teryx! This is going to make a huge difference.
