Like photography? Like fences? Boy, do we have something for you. Throughout the month of February, an incredible 750-foot-long outdoor photography exhibition will be fenced around the downtown Curtis Block site. We’ll give you one guess as to what it’s called.
Hosted by ONE Properties, “The FENCE”– did you guess?– is one of the world’s largest traveling photography exhibitions. Eight cities across North America have gotten the opportunity to see it, including Atlanta, Houston, and Brooklyn… and now, it’s Calgary’s turn.

As the first and only international host city for the project, our little city is looking pretty dang cool. We’ll have exclusive access to unique and beautiful works of photography from all over the globe, with themes from Streets to People to Creatures.
Additionally, there will be a special portion of the fence dedicated to eight Western Canadian artists, including YYC photographer Keith Korsgaard. Spoiler alert: his macro shots of ice are pretty much the coolest things you’ll ever see.

So zip up that jacket, grab your artsiest friend, and take a walking tour. Trust us Calgs, you’re not gonna want to miss this one.
