Betty’s Run is an annual event, inspiring community and hope for those affected by ALS. Right now more than ever, we need togetherness, which is why in response to the Coronavirus Outbreak, the event will now take place virtually!
This may sound a bit wild, but it can be done! Those participating will now run from any location they choose. This can include your local park, laps in your back yard or a treadmill. The possibilities are endless!

Since the first run in 1997, the event has managed to raise $7.4 million dollars for the ALS Society of Alberta, and will continue on through rain, shine or pandemic!
Nothing changes this year, except the date. Instead of taking place on the 14th, the run has been moved to Sunday, June 21st, which is actually ALS Global Awareness Day. This has been done to ” bring our communities together to honour, celebrate and support each other,” as they state on their website.
If you’d like to participate or donate, you can check out the official Betty’s Run website here for more information on how to do so!
The event organizers will continue to update their website with more information nearing the date, so if you’re interested, be sure to stay tuned! We stan resilience!
