All COVID-19 patients in the Northwest Territories have recovered

One down, 12 to go! The Northwest Territories is the first of the Canadian province and territories to announce that all patients with reported cases of the COVID-19 virus have recovered.
NWT’s chief public health officer, Dr. Kami Kandola made the announcement over twitter this afternoon, and we couldn’t be happier for them!
It should be noted that they did only had 5 confirmed cases, but hey, good news, is good news, right?!

In order to be completely cleared of the virus, doctors have to run 2 tests 24 hours apart. If both come back negative they can declare you officially clear of the illness. Hopefully, this is a process other Canadians can familiarize themselves with soon.
Dr. Kandola, also announced that, in order to maintain the Territories’ clean bill of health, they will remain closed until further notice. Good call, folks. Good, call!
Here’s hoping that we’ll be able to share more stories like this one in the near future.
