5 good things that happened in Calgary this week

We think it’s super important to remember that despite all that’s going on right now, there are still plenty of reasons to smile. Businesses, charities and everyday people are doing some incredible things around the city! Heres a roundup of 5 good things happening in Calgary this week, some of which you may have missed from the comfort of your living room!
SEVERAL STORES LAUNCHED SENIORS ONLY SHOPPING HOURS
Unfortunately, age has been a factor in combatting the virus. Seniors are at higher risk than the average 20-something and because of this, this week, Sobeys and London Drugs launched “seniors only” hours, to limit the generational contact that could put some in danger.
THE CALGARY LEFTOVER FOUNDATION SAW AN INCREASE IN DONATIONS
As most of you know, many local restaurants have had to close amid the current coronavirus outbreak, but thanks to a local charity and generous business owners, the food left the fridges and pantries of these restaurants will now go to organizations like the Calgary Drop-In Centre and Fresh Start Recovery.
