Vegetarian resto The Coup is saying goodbye to 17th Ave, for now
Whew! That was a close call. We thought we were going to have to say sayonara to another 17th Ave resto. Popular vegetarian spot, The Coup, will be taking a hiatus and reinventing themselves for a grand re-opening in 2020. So, it’s not a goodbye, just a “see you later!”
For 15 years The Coup has served up some tasty ethical eats, locally sourcing their produce from right here in Calgary! They’ve kind of been a saving grace as far as vegetarian restaurants go.

Everything from the bowls and burger alternatives to their unconventional pizzas tasted great, were completely guilt-free, and made you feel good! Dang, 2020 can’t come fast enough.
There’s no official closing or reopening date announced as of yet, but we’ll keep an eye out! In the meantime, you might want to rush over and grab a bite while you still can.
Oh, and while you’re there- if you want to grab us one of their rainbow ice cream sandwiches and then run it over to us before it melts? That’d be great. Thanks, pal, we appreciate it.
