As much as we love Calgary, sometimes you need to get out of the city to get a fresh perspective on things. Our faves from the Made By Marcus team did exactly that– and judging by their list of Portland stops, we’re expecting some crazy new flavours and ideas to start rolling through their micro-creamery doors.

They visited the likes of organic froyo royalty Eb & Bean, the small batch aficionados at Salt & Straw (and their soft serve bar Wiz Bang), and the donut experts from Blue Star… so we’re not only extremely jealous of their eats adventures, but we’re super excited to see what creations come out of ’em.

Everyone knows MBM’s sundaes are legendary, but we have a feeling that this Portland trip might just take things to the next creative level. Personally, we’d love to see ’em incorporate ideas from Wiz Bang’s Big Hibiscicle & Edible Flowers Sundae (see the first image) or their adorable Chocolate Tacolates.

And as for flavours, we just can’t wait to see what 4 new flavours come through for March. The February Love Series has been killing it, from Raspberry Rose Lychee to Milk Chocolate Passionfruit… but we definitely wouldn’t be mad if some White Peach Peppercorn or Cointreau Crème Brûlée donut action snuck into their next few batches.
