This YYC mini egg cookie dough is served on a pile of cotton candy

Every year, Easter sneaks up on us and then, BAM! It’s Mini Egg this, and bunny-shaped that. Honestly? It’s kind of our favourite time of year. In our very adult opinion, everything tastes better when it’s dyed pink or purple. We thought we were alone in thinking that, but the folks at Family Dough, sold at the Family Squeezed kiosk in Cross Iron, must feel the same way because they’ve created the ultimate ‘spring has spring’ pastel palette of deliciousness.
This month, enjoy a scoop or two of Family Dough’s Mini Egg cookie dough served on a bed of cotton candy. Cotton freaking candy, guys. You’d be lying to yourself if 11-year old you isn’t buzzing right now.

Shout out to Mrs. Teacher Lady who gave us trouble for eating the raw cookie dough in our 7th-grade foods class. Times have changed for the better, because now eating uncooked dough is actually encouraged. For the record, we’ve never had salmonella, not even once.
Man, we love March. Spring is in the air and fancily-coloured dessert is in our mouths. See you there, Calgary. We’ll be the 20-something year old with a sugar high and a face full of cotton candy running laps in the food court.
