Calgary is getting a new comfort food spot with insane Stampede-style eats
What’s your favourite part of Stampede? It’s pretty hard to choose a favourite between debauchery at a Stampede tent, the incredible lineup of concerts and entertainment, and 10 days of most people working a lot less hard than usual. But we have to say hitting up the Midway for games we never win and wild food we never knew existed has to be at the top. That’s why we’re so excited about Comfort Calgary, a restaurant that will be featuring some insane dishes that would be right at home at the Stampede.
Opening soon down at 4035 14 St SE, Comfort Calgary is taking comfort food to the next level. Considering the name of the joint, we probably didn’t need to tell you that, but we just wanted to reiterate how comfortable this food looks.

So far, they’re teasing dishes like deep-fried Oreos, fruity pebble chicken & waffles, Cajun shrimp & grits, and a whole lot more. Although there is no word on an opening date just yet, we’re already frothing at the mouth in anticipation.
Stampede 2020 may be gone, but wild comfort food lives on forever. Oh, and we’re certain Stampede 2021 will be back better than ever. In case you were worried.
