7-Eleven is offering buy one, get one Slurpees and a virtual block party this July
Summer without a Slurpee is like a peanut butter sandwich without the jelly. It’s still good, but it could be a hell of a lot better. Every year, 7-Eleven celebrates its July 11th birthday in the tastiest way possible. By offering free Slurpees! However, this time around, because of the COVID-19 virus, the convenience store has had to rework its big day.
“We’d love to welcome all Canadians to our stores to celebrate 7-Eleven Day, but it just isn’t the responsible choice this year,” said 7-Eleven Canada Vice President and General Manager Norman Hower in a press release.

“This is the biggest day of our year, so we are disappointed to make the change, but we’re excited about the ways we can celebrate responsibly, all month long!”
In order to do this, Sev will be sharing the gift of chill in a few different ways. From July 6th to the 12th, Canadians can get a buy one, get one Slurpee delivered through UberEats or Skip the Dishes. It’s basically a reverse Slurpee run!
Also, every 7Rewards member will get 4 $1 Slurpee coupons which can be used in-store at any time this month. In addition to all of this, 7-Eleven will also be throwing a virtual block party where they’re encouraging fans to create and share #SlurpeeDancePartee videos on their TikTok or Instagram.
Last but not least, to celebrate 7-Eleven Day and recognize those affected by the virus, they will be taking and matching cash donations up to $100,000 which will go to Food Banks Canada.
