11 rescheduled Calgary events we still get to look forward to

Since just about everything that was scheduled to happen in Calgary in the coming months is up in the air, we’ve decided to highlight some good news. We thought some of you might need to be reminded that if things do go back to normal (kind of) by summertime, we’re going to have a TON of events to look forward to! Here are just a few, to lift your spirits and have you looking ahead!
*Editor’s Note: There is no certainty in whether or not these events will indeed take place. At the time of this article being written, these postponements and dates are all based on tentative scheduling.
LILAC FESTIVAL
Food, live music, drinks, local vendors and sun! Lilac Festival will hit the streets of Calgary’s 4th Avenue this summer. We cannot wait to beat the heat with a food truck lemonade or two.

CALGARY COMIC EXPO
The Calgary Comic Expo has already begun rescheduling it’s special guests, and man will they have some cool stuff in store for us!
When: Friday, July 17th – Sunday, July 19th 2020
CALGARY UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL
The Calgary Underground Film Festival lights up the screens of the cities coolest movie theatres. They haven’t picked an official date quite yet, but our eyeballs are ready when they are.

CALGARY MARATHON
Run like the wind! Imagine how nice it’ll be to get your active butts outside again?! Canada’s longest running marathon has been postponed until later this year, which gives you more time to train!

FOODIES IN THE PARK
Calgary’s die-hard grub-lovers can treat themselves to an incredible meal under the stars during this year’s foodies in the park. This event will be themed and delicious, so you have a ton to look forward too.

YYCCAESARFEST
Thank goodness! Don’t fret, clamato lovers, YYCaesarfest has been postponed! This tasty event will have restos all over the city crafting incredible creations and donating to charity.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
Let loose in the moshpit to end all moshpits. This show is going to be wild, guys! Understandably so, this event has been postponed, but they don’t quite have a date picked yet, so hang tight!

BOB SAGET
Laugh out the quarantine blues at this raunchy show featuring Full House’s Bob Saget. He’s no Danny Tanner in real life, but he is side splittingly funny.

ILIZA SHLESINGER
Party Goblins! This dog loving comic has postponed her show until November, but until then, you can join her and her husband in the kitchen for their “No Panic Pantry” Instashow.
When: Sunday, November 28th
LETTERKENNY LIVE
We have no idea what to expect from Letterkenny live, but we can imagine it’s going to be worth the wait. The very Canadian sitcom has reached a cult-like status due to its originality and hilarious characters, so it’s safe to say there will plenty of fun to be had once this comes to town.

PETER PAN PRESENTED BY THE ALBERTA BALLET
All you need is faith, trust and a little pixie dust! The Alberta Ballet is working their butts off to make a presentation of its production of Peter Pan possible later this year. We have our fingers and toes crossed for this one!
