We hardly remember what it’s like to go to a show or event – luckily during COVID we’ve been able to experience second best. Live streams give us the ability to feel like we’re apart of the action from the comfort and safety of our own couch. In line with so many others who have brought us heartwarming quarantine concerts, Calgary is launching it’s very own virtual series! Play the Parks: Calgary will showcase local musicians as well as our beautiful green spaces – while keeping everyone virus free and above all, entertained!

This annual multi-genre community shindig typically takes place in Toronto, but this year, Calgary was lucky enough to take the wheel.

Due to the obvious, all performances have been pre-recorded, however, they were all taped in super recognizable areas making you feel like you’re right there.

Sprinkled with a little production magic, Calgarians can see 9 different artists take the mic near the cities rivers, historic buildings, and in popular venues like the Studio Bell National Music Centre – naturally.

To see the PTP’s full lineup, which includes well-known acts like Kate Stevens, The Static Shift, and Matt Blais, you can check out their website here! Otherwise, tune in to the Canada Music Incubator Facebook page here!

Happy viewing, music lovers!
