Kevin Smith says he’s making a ‘Jaws, but with moose’ film after quarantine

Life after quarantine looks… like a Kevin Smith film about rapid, people-eating moose. Now, we can’t say that we’ll be surprised if all of the art released after COVID is ultimately the result of a cannabis-induced quarantine dream, but this one is still a bit of a shock. The filmmaker has decided that “Moose Jaws” will be what caps off his “True North Trilogy.”
Essentially, the film, which Smith, says “is his favourite thing he’s ever written,’ will be like the 1975 classic, Jaws… but with a moose.

The ‘offbeat’ Canadian-based series began back in 2014 with his first film Tusk, which was followed by 2016s Yoga Hosers. Which was a masterpiece, really.
“This is a f-ckin’ fan film. This is like pouring my heart out on a page. I love Jaws, and I love Canada, and I combined the two of them. So the whole thing is beat-for-beat Jaws, up until the third act. In the third act it becomes Godzilla, Destroy All Monsters, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan, and ends with Return of the Jedi. It’s pretty magical,” Smith told Comicbook.
Jokes aside… we’re actually kind of stoked. Consider it added to the very long list of things we have to look forward to in the future.
