Joe Exotic’s zoo now belongs to Carol Baskin & Jeff Lowe is going off

For your sake and ours, we will not be starting this off with the Baskin formal greeting, despite our internal monologue begging us to do it. Instead, we’ll get right down to business. A federal judge has granted Carol Baskin complete ownership of the zoo once owned by Joe Exotic as part of the infamous $1 million trademark dispute.
As we’re sure you remember from the Netflix series, Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as the eccentric zookeeper, Joe Exotic, was actually petty enough to repurpose arch-enemy, Carol Baskin’s logo. Baskin also runs Big Cat Rescue, an animal sanctuary, in Florida… where her ex-husband may or may not have been fed to tigers.
Baskin ultimately sued Joe Exotic, who was later arrested for hiring someone to murder her. True story.

According to court documents, the current operator of Exotic’s G.W. Zoo, Jeff Lowe has 120 days to GTFO.
“Although I am not personally named in the lawsuit, it appears that Carole Baskin and her desire to exact revenge against Joe Exotic trumps the livelihood of the families that came together to save her life,” Lowe said in a statement on the zoo’s website.
Unfortunately for the tigers, Lowe, and Baskin, the animals will also have to be removed from the premises. We’re assuming that Lowe will transfer all animals to the new sanctuary he’s opening this summer, Tiger King Park.
The park already has glowing comments on their Facebook page like “you guys are trash,” so we’re sure that they’ll be very successful.
Honestly, in all of this our one and only concern is the animals, and when and where they can eventually be comfortable. In the story of Exotic vs. Baskin, the plot is forever thickening though so, who the hell knows.
