Canadian breaks world record for largest snow maze

In this edition of “What are those weird Canadians up to this winter,” we’ve got a world record on our hands! A couple Canucks went about building the world’s largest snow maze, and they crushed it by a few cubic meters.

A Maze in Corn near St. Adolphe, MB decided in December that they needed something to do this winter other than resent the fact that they live in Manitoba. Therefore, they set out to turn their corn maze into the largest wintery version the world’s ever seen.

Previously, the record was held by the Fort William Historical Park in Thunder Bay. Those nerds didn’t know what was coming for them, which happened to be 2,789.11 m² of big, beautiful maze.

Maze owner Clint Masse is already fearing the imitators. He said, “I’m scared that now I’m going to Googling non-stop who’s going to build them, because maybe now we’re going to have 10 in Canada. Who knows?” Clint, don’t sweat it. We don’t have the patience or the dedication you do.

Guinness World Records had to grant a little wiggle room in their traditional maze requirements. We didn’t even know there were such things.

They wanted the maze to have one entrance and one exit. However, fear of losing a small child in a literal maze of freezing matter swayed them to allow some extra exits.
