Never one to shy away from making headlines unnecessarily, Madonna made a splash on Tuesday afternoon, telling Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to leave “boring” Canada.

On the contrary, we think staying in “boring” Canada is exactly what the Prince and Meghan need. A little escape from paparazzi, perhaps a slight decline in fame, a secluded Van Island house…all things that would bring a little normalcy to the lives of the couple formerly known as the Royal couple.

As for Madonna, well, no one should take her words too seriously. Sure, she insisted the couple move from Canada to sublet her Central Park West apartment building. Also, with her exact words regarding the great white north being “don’t run off to Canada, it’s so boring there.” we can’t help but see what Madonna would have against our pleasant nation.

Ah, would you look at that. Way back in 1990, Madonna’s on-stage antics of crotch-grabbing and gyrating were so outrageous that Toronto Police threatened to arrest her for obscenity.

Does that make us boring? Meh, not really. But hey, the formerly Royal couple can do as they please and if that means it’s leaving “boring” Canada to the people who really love it, that works for us.
