A mysterious new bar has just opened in Inglewood

Calgary has gotten spoiled in the last few months. New bars and restaurants have opened up all over the place with cool concepts and (not so hidden) hidden entryways. They’ve all be pretty transparent, generously giving us information, tons of photos and lengthy menus. Because we’ve been so fortunate, it was really only a matter of time before something opened that planned on keeping it all pretty hush hush. Inglewood’s newest spot, Rain Dog Bar, is open. However, it’s all secretive beyond that!
Luckily for you, we do have some information on this new hotspot-to-be. Rain Dog Bar opened yesterday right above popular fusion restaurant Gorilla Whale on 9th Ave.

Rain Dog will be serving Northern cuisine, so we’re thinking you can most likely expect hardy meats and tasty comfort foods. Despite this, they’ve actually got a rich selection of Albertan craft beer. They’ll be pouring only the best of the best, supporting all of our favorite local breweries, and for that we can stand behind these guys.
Their decor is very Sherlock Holmes library meets pool hall chill. It’s an antique-heavy joint with a warm atmosphere and a calming vibe. With trendy contemporary restos, we think this is exactly what we need right now. Mmm, a spot to have cozy food and great beer while we unwind.
We honestly can’t wait to check this place out. With an incredible location in Inglewood, we have a feeling these guys will be sticking aroud for quite some time.
