Hold on to your pants, folks. Interior superstore and dream hide n’ seek location, IKEA, has just re-opened in several cities across Canada. Shop till your drop, folks! Just make sure you abide by their necessary preventative measures to protect customers and staff from the COVID-19 virus.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on your comfort level) because each province has begun reopening at their own pace, this will exclude stores that are NOT in Calgary, Edmonton, Quebec City or Winnipeg.

“With health and safety as our top priority, we have introduced enhanced, preventative health and safety measures across the shopping experience and operations to ensure co-workers and customers feel safe to work and shop,” they said on their website.

As a result of this, their children’s play area and IKEA restaurant will stay closed for the time being, which we think is probably for the best… even though we’ve been jonesing for a plate of their sweet, sweet meatballs since March.

As things continue to reopen we’ll keep you updated! Until then, feel free to check out their website and window shop, or irresponsibly order bookshelves that you have no room for.
