Yikes, this isn’t a good look for America. Early this morning, the global conglomerate 3M shared a public letter pushing against Donald Trump, who is trying to restrict the exportation of N95 masks to Canada and Mexico.

We don’t usually take a political stance at Curiocity, and we’re not breaking that today. That’s why we’re focusing on the same thing 3M is focusing on- the humanitarian repercussions of a move like this.

First off, restricting the exportation of N95 masks will have direct and aggressive repercussions for healthcare workers in Canada and Mexico. Plus, the move will likely lead to retaliatory measures from us (Canada) and Mexico.

If this goes through, then everyone is worse off when the dust settles. Not only will long standing trade relations be severely impacted, but way more importantly, the people who need supplies the most will not receive them.

For that reason, we proudly stand behind 3M’s decision and stance. No matter how dark things may look, companies, people and countries will always be there to shine a light.
