Howdy Calgs, we’re glad to see you’re alive after Stampede Weekend 1. Honestly, we weren’t sure we were gonna make it out after the third (or was it seventh?) $10 beer, but hey. We’ve got the power of Pedialyte and Billy Ray Cyrus on our side. Anywho, here’s the best things to do this week in Calgary– let’s keep the horses in the back and the party movin’ forward!
Hit one of these must-see concerts
Everyone from Brett Eldredge to Lil Nas X is gonna be lighting up the stage this week, so make sure you bring your best two-steppin’ boots. Otherwise prepare yourself for major FOMO!

Calgary’s hottest amenity is back, and mid-20s temps are calling us to take a dip! Guests at Hotel Arts have the opportunity to sip on designer cocktails, snack on bites by an award-winning culinary team, and chill poolside while soaking in the rays. Yes please.

Get into the zoo for cheap
Be emused (get it?!) and play tourist in your own city for an afternoon. If you’re headed to the Stampede grounds, save your entry ticket and show it at the zoo gates for $5.00 off general admission any day of Stampede!

Hit Deerfoot City’s Farmer’s Market

Taste your way through The Guild’s Stampede menu
Ready to boot, scoot and boogie Calgary?! Two-step your way into The Guild and check out their daily Smoker Feature Menu! Not here for a long time, but a good time, The Guild is serving up something new each day from this bad boy. Make a pitstop on your way to the grounds and try it for yourself!

Ride the bull at a GMC Stampede Party
GMC wants you to show them what you’ve got on their mechanical bull! Join them at various GMC locations throughout July for mechanical bull rides, live music and food trucks at their free, family-friendly events!

Stomp your boots at RoundUp Music Fest
RoundUp’s gonna have a crazy lineup. Vancouver’s Doug and the Slugs is kicking things off with some upbeat tunes. Then things are gonna get punky with Kingston’s Headstones. Next, the music, fashion and art icons from Blondie will bless our ears. Finally, blonde badass Billy Idol is taking the stage. Pumped yet? ‘Cause we are.

Trade flapjacks for a cereal bar
Revival’s hosting their first ever Stampede Breakfast! But if you’re tired of pancakes, don’t worry. This is all Lucky Charms and Froot Loops, country-style. For $10 a person (they donate 50% to the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew), get all the cereal you want. Oh, and there’s games and beer, too!
