EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

This festival celebrates the best in Albertan photography and gives internationally-renowned talent a meeting place to mix and mingle with one another. This year, Exposure hopes to further the knowledge of budding photogs and seasoned professionals alike. Over the course of a month and during events, portfolio reviews, and exhibitions, they’ll be asking big questions like what is photography now, what was it then, and what’s in store?

FLAMES VS. SAN JOSE

Yeah, things got heated this weekend in the Battle of Alberta, but it’s time to refocus. There are bigger fish to fry! Get it? Because they’ll be playing the San Jose Sharks? We crack ourselves up. Grab a dome beer and settle in with a pocket dog while you cheer Calgary’s home team to victory, this Tuesday, February 4th.

LA POUTINE WEEK 2020

SIGNATURE CHOCOLATE MAKING WITH BERNARD CALLEBAUT

Make that special someone something from the heart. With Valentine’s Day coming up, Bernard Callebaut’s chocolate making class is a perfect pre-V-date idea, or another reason to skip the Walmart chocolate haul. Everything is better when it’s made with love, isn’t it?

SKI FOR HEART

This non-competitive weekend is all about unwinding while doing some good. By raising at least $500 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, skiers can take the hill at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, one of the most beautiful places on earth, for only $159. That seems like a win-win to us!

THE LOUDER WE GET

Do you want the experience of a Broadway play without the annoying hassle of having to fly to NYC? Same. Theatre Calgary presents the remarkable plot of “The Louder We Get.” It’s the exciting true story of Marc Hall’s fight against the Catholic school system for the right to bring his boyfriend to prom.
