TOUR DE BOWNESS STREET FESTIVAL & BIKE RACE

2019 will mark the 18th edition of the Tour de Bowness, hosted by Bow Cycle! Racers will tackle the challenging 7-turn track while the rest of us enjoy great food vendors, live music on the Tim Hortons Stage, and wicked local art.

SHAKESPEARE BY THE BOW

What goes with a picnic and sunny afternoon in one of Calgary’s fave places? Shakespeare by the Bow! Soak up the scenery during Theatre Calgary’s annual outdoor production.

NICK CAVE: FEAT. EXHIBIT

The newest exhibit to grace the Glenbow Museum, the ‘Nick Cave: Feat. Exhibitions’ features the artist’s signature Soundsuits, as well as sculpture, video, and installation works. Nick Cave, often referred to as a “messenger” is interested in connecting people and ideas. Through Nick Cave’s brilliantly colourfully and politically charged art, he seeks to transform anger and despair into love, action, and possibility.

ATCO PRESENTS MOVIES AT THE MEADOWS

Outdoor movie excursions have definitely become a trend for summer 2019. Why not break out the licorice and popcorn at ATCO presents Movies at the Meadows? It’s only $20.00/car load (OR $15.00 if tickets purchased in advance!!).

DEERFOOT CITY’S OUTDOOR FITNESS CLASSES

KANANASKIS GOLF

Looking for your next summer excursion? Look no further– Kananaskis Country Golf Course is just outside the city. This fully renovated and restored course is open for your puttin’ and clubbin’ experience!

HERITAGE PARK ADULT NIGHT

Still going through the post-Stampede blues? Us too, it’s okay. Us sad cow folk have a reason to cheer up though since Heritage Park is bringing the midway back for an unreal adults-only night. On Friday, August 9, good ol’ HP will be open to people 18+ for drinks, food, rides, and some PG-13 fun!
