Happy Thursday, Calgary! We’ve been listening to funk at the Curiocity office all week long and are feeling good about the things to do this weekend. Whether we want to check out a concert, have a nice meal, or catch a Flames game we can! Nice.

SUGAR SHACK AT CHARBAR
This week, check out Calgary’s Charbar for an incredibly tasty event hosted by celebrated French Canadian chef JC Poirier! Indulge in unique gourmet dishes like his split pea soup in a puff pastry, hunter pie and Foie Gras Maple Caramel Ice Cream, along with Tire Sue la Neige (maple taffy on snow) – yum. It’ll be a night your tastebuds won’t soon forget!

COWBOYS 4TH ANNUAL ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT WING OFF
The 4th annual Cowboys winga-palooza of sorts will put sauces and technique head to head infront of a panel of judges, celebrities, and you, all in support of KidsSport Canada!

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY
Formed in 1998, this heavy metal group has since released 10 studio albums, two live albums, two compilations albums and three video albums in addition to their EP. They’ve worked with Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie and were featured in the game Guitar Hero World Tour (oh, the mems). They’ll be hitting up Mac Hall on March 7th.

2020 WOMEN’S DAY GALA CALGARY
Join emcee Aisling Tomei in welcoming guest speaker Jillian Harris and entrepreneur Jess Tetu. VIVIAN MAIER: IN HER OWN HANDS
This week, check out the Glenbow Museum’s mysterious new exhibit. Vivian Maier: In Her Own Hands features over 100 photographs found at a Chicago auction house by chance, each giving the viewer insight into 30 years of American city life as captured by one of the most enigmatic figures of twentieth century photography.
