8 Things To Do In Calgary This Week (October 26-30)

Guys, it’s here! It’s finally Halloween week! We would be lying if we said that we haven’t been shaking with anticipation since October 1st, but the wait is over. In the next few days, spook yourself silly, hunt for ghosts or just take it easy and catch a flick – as long as it’s of the dark and ghoulish variety. Here are 8 things to do this week in Calgary!
CINEPLEX – BIG SCREEN HALLOWEEN
Until November 1st, movie lovers can catch a number of classic horror flicks like John Carpenter’s Halloween, Scream, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Lost Boys, or Beetle Juice (just to name a few) for only $5 at any Cineplex Canada-wide!

SCREAMFEST
This event will hit different this year, but man oh, man will it be just as – if not more terrifying – than last the years before it. From clowns, criminals, and basically anything and everything that lurks in the dark, under your bed and in your nightmares – Screamfests attractions will keep you up and alert, long after you’ve left the grounds.

FREE HOUSE – PUMPKIN CARVING & CRAFT BEER
This week, Free House brewery invites you to come, hang out, carve some pumpkins and have a drink or two at their beer and food hall! Each ticket for this event is only $25 but will get you a gourd, some tools and most importantly a draft beer or a non-alcoholic beverage.

GREAT WHITE CAR AND TRUCK WASH – TUNNEL OF TERROR
This Halloween, get so clean it’s scary when you enter the Tunnel of Terror at Great White Wash in Calgary. With not one, but TWO haunting car wash tunnels, guests are in for a nightmarish experience unlike any other.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN SMASH AT TELUS SPARK
If you’re not the haunted house type, consider checking out Telus Spark’s Great Pumpkin Smash! With a pumpkin catapult, uniquely gooey science shows and a surprisingly adorable reptile meet and greet, the science centres’ hourly activities will keep you safe, warm and in the spirit of things on October 30th and 31st.

GET A CLUE AT DEERFOOT CITY
This week, grab the fam and hit Deerfoot City where you will be invited to Halloween-hunt for Boo, a sneaky little ghost who can be found in 6 different locations around the shopping centre. Your job is to find and solve these mini puzzles then use them to track down the ghost who is hiding in, around, over, and beside various spots in the area. Happy Hunting!
