8 Things To Do In Calgary This Week (October 15-18)

If you’re reading this, you survived Thanksgiving weekend, Congratulations! Hopefully, by now, you’ve recovered and are ready to get productive. If you’re not quite there yet, don’t worry, you’ve only got four days left until the weekend! But that doesn’t mean you should let it all go to waste.

Here are 8 things to do in Calgary this week, that isn’t ‘just waiting for Friday.’

CHEER ON THE FLAMES AT THE SADDLEDOME

Strain your vocal cords at one of the Flames home games this week. On Tuesday the boys will take on The Philidelphia Flyers and on Thursday drop puck against The Detroit Redwings. GO FLAMES GO.

TELUS SPARK – DOME MOVIE NARRATED BY RYAN REYNOLDS

Talk about a national treasure. Not just Ryan Reynolds, but the Canadian Rainforest, and bears who live there! This Friday, The Telus Spark Science Center will be screening their brand new dome movie, Great Bear Rainforest. Sit back and relax while our sweet, sweet Ryan takes us on a journey through a magic environment. The grand opening event also includes real biofacts from the Calgary Zoo, a meet and greet with the film’s sound designer, hands-on wood-burning activities and ton more.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL

Didn’t have enough to eat or drink last weekend? We can turn that around. Rocky Mountian Wine and Food Fest is back, and they’re bringing out all the stops. Taste test over 300 different wines from 15 different countries, or pop a bottle like you’re in a rap video on Bubbly Boulevard. Strut their red carpet and take advantage of their luxury photo booth.
