It’s the final week of 2020 and good lord what a year it has been. It’s been 12 months of ups, downs, more downs, and then a few more downs for good measure, and we’re definitely ready for 2021. CANADA’S NEW YEAR’S EVE: COUNTDOWN TO 2021
Want to feel like you’re ringing in the New Year with the rest of the country? Sure, it’s not the same as an in-person fireworks show or a roaring 20s bash with your best pals, but this event featuring some of Canada’s biggest musical stars is sure to impress.

A bunch of Calgary’s favourite restaurants are offering up some awesome New Year’s Eve specials for takeout and delivery and it’s the perfect year to take advantage of it. Whether you’re getting dishes from Concorde hotspots like Lulu Bar and Bridgette Bar or new places like Orchard, the city has you covered.
TIME SQUARE BALL DROP
Wondering what you’ll toast to at midnight to end 2020? The New York City ball drop, of course. Although Times Square won’t be full of the crowds it is in a normal year, the ball will be dropping all the same. Count down to midnight online with a live stream of the iconic event.

WANDER THE CALGARY ZOOLIGHTS
Christmas may be technically over, but that doesn’t mean the lights at the Calgary Zoo get any dimmer. This week, take a few photos, grab a hot cocoa, a snack, take a seat by the fire and ogle millions of enchanting LED’s strung through the trees at this magical winter event.
