10 Socially-Distant Things To Do In Calgary This Weekend (February 5-7)

We’re almost there, party people! We’ve almost made it. Friday is upon us and as an early 2000s YouTube sensation once said, “Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend.” Now, we will warn you guys, it’s expected to be a pretty chilly one, but it’s nothing we can’t handle. From food festivals to concerts (yes, seriously) here are 10 things you can do in Calgary this time around.

CHILL OUT IN THE EAST VILLAGE HYGGE HUT

Located just off RiverWalk Plaza in the East Village, Calgarians looking to wind down after a day of in city cross country skiing are encouraged to check out the Hygge Hut! This Scandinavian-style hut is fitted with a cozy fireplace, a warm atmosphere and is perfect for winding down under a blanket with a cup of Joe or hot cocoa. Oh, and while your there, don’t forget to snap a pic in front of their winter wonderland photo wall! These guys really went all out for us this year.

EAT YOUR WAY THROUGH THE LAST WEEKEND OF LA POUTINE WEEK

This weekend, in celebration of the most romantic day of the year, we encourage you to grab the well-washed hand of someone special and hit the streets for Kensington’s Valentine’s Day Market where you can pick up some unreal items and support Calgary’s local entrepreneurs. It doesn’t get better than that!

REWIND WITH HOTELS LIVE CALGARY

This weekend, check out Hotels Live – an ingenious way to GTFO and enjoy a real concert, without getting sick! With AHS’s approval, hotels live have been able to use the patio suites overlooking pool or courtyard areas as a private box of sorts for concerts and shows below. This Saturday, catch the ‘COVID can’t stop us REWIND’ party.

WATCH A SUNSET DURING THE MAGICAL ALPENGLOW FESTIVAL
