WestJet announces impressive new airport lounge in Calgary

Airports are polarizing, aren’t they? You either love free wi-fi and watching the planes take off or you hate airport security and delayed flights. WestJet Calgary is hoping they’ve come up with a solution to make a layover in the city a little more bearable for those who hate flying, and even better for guests who love it.
In an effort to make guests more comfortable during their short stay at the Calgary airport, WestJet has announced a new lounge area in the international wing. The lounge will be a contemporary space with Canadian food and drinks and ‘refined mountain’ interior. Not only does this sound cozy, but it also sounds pretty tasty too.

“As the airline with the most departures, destinations, and seats from Calgary; the construction of the lounge underscores WestJet’s ongoing commitment to growing its premium presence and guest experience.” The company said in the official press release.
The lounge will be designed in partnership with Gensler, a world-class architectural firm, and is expected to open late in the summer of 2020.
