Weather Network calls for heavy rain & crazy wind in Calgary this week

Wow, did the previous forecast have us fooled? We should know by now not to get too comfortable with the weather in Calgary! This week, YYC is in for rain, wind, and (if you’re anything like us) an overwhelming hankering for Lana Del Rey, bubble baths, comfort food, and a piping mug of re-re-re-heated tea.
According to the Weather Network, Southern Alberta faces potentially severe thunderstorms and maybe even damaging winds, so we’d recommend bringing in those newly potted plants and recovering that BBQ of yours. The good news? It looks like the ‘severe’ part of that may miss Calgary. Here’s hoping!

Wednesday will be alright as we’re expecting to see a high of 12° C and a low of 10° C, with showers. Thursday, we’ll see a similar day and a high of 10° C but come Friday we’ll only hit a high of 8° C and can expect more rain. Saturday will follow suit, but things will heat up come Sunday!
To round out the week, Calgary will see a beautiful mainly sunny day, and a high of 18° C! Not too shabby, if we do say so ourselves!
It’ll be an eventful one! To be honest, we’re kind of excited. We dig momentary power outages and the sound of rain while we sleep. It certainly won’t be anything we can’t handle! Stay safe and enjoy yourselves, Calgary!
