Things to do in Calgary this weekend (Dec 14 – 16)

Howdy, Calgary! The weekend is here and we are ready for some festive cheer and beer…and food…and fun. Good thing this great city has so much of that and more to offer! With that in mind, here are some of the best things to do in Calgary this weekend.

Spirit in the Mountain

For four nights, four sets of thrill-seekers will be setting up shop deep within Grotto Mountain for the wilderness adventure of a lifetime. The Rat’s Nest Cave will be turned into one of the coolest concert venues you could ever imagine so, if you can swing it, this is a can’t-miss event.

Lougheed House Christmas

Breakfast with Santa, live theatre performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, hands-on holiday centrepiece workshop, drinking with Dicken cocktail workshop, and a Holly Jolly Christmas Caper Escape Room. All ages, family friendly event.

Big Rock Brewery Tour

Brewery tour hosted by one of Big Rock’s beerologists. Learn about state of the art brewing process and experience a tasting session of their latest brews on tap. What better way to ring in the holidays than with a Big Rock buzz?

Calgary Roughnecks vs. Vancouver Warriors

The home-opener of the lacrosse season is this Saturday. So, if you’re ready for some rockin’ tunes, dome foams, and entertaining pro sports action then this is your chance!

Market Collective

Okay, get ready for some info: With over 130 artists and food vendors, plenty of musical acts, a skatepark designed by local skaters and artists, food trucks, and even a Santa photo booth, this place really has it all. Don’t miss out!

Granary Road Christmas Market

Holiday activities such as roasting marshmallows, sipping on hot chocolate, free wagon rides, ice skating and more. Public Market features over 50 unique vendors.
