It seems that people are way more excited for the winter season than anyone could have anticipated. Unfortunately, COVID is still a threat and in order to keep everyone safe, snowy destinations like WinSport Calgary have had to reevaluate things like admission and capacity.

According to their website, due to an overwhelming demand for season’s passes, they’ve actually had to suspend 2020-2021 sales.

“This is to ensure that we can maintain sufficient physical distancing on the hill to keep everyone safe during COVID-19,” they wrote. “We apologize if you were hoping to buy a pass.”

As the facility nears its opening date, WinSport has started a waiting list and said that they will continue to monitor and manage capacity – adjusting when necessary.

For those really jonesing to get back to Calgary’s hill and don’t mind paying per trip, day tickets will be available but not until the season is underway (November 27th).

It won’t be much longer though, folks! You’ll be back out there in no time… just not with a season’s pass.
