Roll e-scooters have launched in YYC, here’s how you can ride for free

Just last Friday, the city announced that they would be reintroducing 300 scooters to the streets of Calgary. Some were confused, others shocked and concerned, but many were actually pretty excited to see them back. Today, a Toronto based company, Roll brand e-Scooters, has just launched even more brightly coloured two-wheelers to the downtown area.

In a routine press conference held last Thursday, Mayor Naheed Nenshi said that despite ridership being rather low (due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus) the city would continue to offer public transit systems. This includes the train, buses, and ride-sharing services.

People will begin returning to work slowly (but surely) and will continue having to do errands. In fact, over 100,000 have continued to use public transportation every single day, which is wild, but understandable. Transportation is essential!

Roll e-scooters currently operate in Kelowna, and Edmonton, and now to celebrate their launch in Calgary, they’re offering you guys one free ride! Use code ROLLINCOWTOWN or CURIOCITY to claim yours!

Also, remember, no matter what company you choose to scoot with, that you wash and sanitize your hands! Stay safe, stay smart, and stay breezy, Calgary.
