Rental of the Week: Luxe penthouse in Connaught’s SODO building

Now, there isn’t enough room in our budget for this Curiocity Calgary Rental of the Week, but it is sure pretty to look at. This penthouse in the SODO building comes with 38,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities (sort of), two large bedrooms and two fair-sized bathrooms.
We’re talking NASA levels of space, ladies and gents! Let’s take a peek, shall we?
RENTAL OF THE WEEK

This luxe penthouse is urban living at its peak, quite literally. The SODO building is conveniently located in, no… above, 6th Street and 10th Avenue, minutes away from everything the heart of Calgary has to offer.

The view from every window in this place is insane. See the mountains, the bustle of downtown, and nearby parks all from your couch or large private balcony. The penthouse itself has just over 1,600 square feet of living space, not including the massive patio.
The kitchen is an open concept and is just flooded with natural light. In fact, so is the bedroom, living room, and even the bathroom. The floor-to-ceiling glass would be a nightmare to clean, but it looks great and adds character to the otherwise standard decor.

The master bedroom is huge, but would you expect anything less considering the rest of the rental? There’s a large walk-in closet, and an ensuite with a deep soaker tub.

You have a massive patio of your own, but the common outdoor living space (top picture) is a total standout in our eyes. There is plenty of seating room, a dog park, BBQ’s, grass, a fire pit, loungers, and a gazebo, but the bonus areas don’t stop here! We mentioned 38,000 square feet, didn’t we?

There is also a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a steam room with spa-like changing rooms, and a games room. Gosh, talk about getting your money’s worth. You would hardly need to leave your apartment!
Unfortunately, fine digs like the one at the SODO building will cost you a cool $6,000 a month. Brutal. Maybe we could get bunk beds and share? We think we make a good roommate. Kind of.
Dibs on the top bunk!
