We’re not trying to jump the gun or get your hopes up, but things might be looking up for Alberta. Now, although final decisions have yet to be made, Premier Kenney said that the province could begin reopening the economy in May.

It will be a process, of course though, folks. It definitely won’t happen all at once!

“Some of this we’re going to have to make final decisions as we get closer to them, based on how well we do,” Kenney said during a routine conference this week. “But I do hope that we will be able to begin reopening aspects of social and economic life that have currently been suspended in the month of May,” he said.

Everyone in our health-care system has been working exceptionally hard, Albertans have been following recommendations (for the most part) in order to flatten the curve and essential workers are busting their butts. We don’t know about you guys, but we were in need of validation. Hearing this is a breath of fresh air!

We’re doing it, Alberta! The province plans on releasing more information about reopening the economy later this week (including projected dates,) so we’ll keep you updated. Until then, keep doing what you’re doing! We’ve got this!
