IKEA Canada just donated 60,000 N95 masks to a Canadian hospital

Ah, another good news story has come our way and we are always happy to share those! IKEA Canada just donated 60,000 N95 masks to North York General Hospital. Woohoo!

The donation was announced by @thePPEdrive twitter account – a donation collection service that is helping gather personal protective equipment to hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we’d like to say Canada’s hospitals are fully stocked and don’t need donations, they do. And obviously a donation of this size is not something that would be turned away.

In case you didn’t know, an N95 mask is essential for stopping bacteria, and viruses enter the lungs. They also stay effective despite long periods of intense use, so this is pretty dang helpful by IKEA Canada.

Let’s hope this trend of giving continues!
