Get zippy: Bird electric scooters are finally coming to Calgary

Bird Scooters Canada has announced that their dockless, electric scooters are coming to our great nation next month! They will be starting out in Calgary and Edmonton, and eventually spread across Canada.
Chances are high that you’ve seen these bad boys in action before. Maybe your favourite influencer rode one during fashion week, maybe you saw one on vacation. Whatever the case is, they’re starting to take over the world.

Bird operates in over 120 cities across North America and Europe, so Canada seems to be kind of an aside for them. Little chapped, it’s fine. Nevertheless, Bird says it will be putting between 500 and 1,00 scooters in each city to start out.
The scooters should be up and operational by early July, which means that Calgarians might be able to test them out during the Stampede. Can we get a yeehaw?
Last but not least, we would like to draw attention to the craziest Instagram account out there for this market, BirdGraveyard. No, we’re not linking it, but check it out.
