Forbes releases list of 45 billionaires in Canada

Turns out Canada has its fair share of billionaires scattered throughout the country. From media moguls to tech gods, here is a quick rundown on our wealthiest citizens.
At the top of the list lies David Thomson and his family. The publishing and media moguls have a massive stake in Thomson Reuters (makes sense), as well as a slew of other investments. As of 2019, they had a net worth of roughly $32.5 billion USD, far exceeding everyone else in Canada.
The most interesting has got to be Lawrence Stroll, who masterminded the IPO of Michael Kors and made the majority of his money selling his shares. Nowadays, Stroll collects vintage Ferraris, buys mega yachts, and recently led a team of investors in the purchase of the Force India F1 racing team. The guy knows how to live.
