Facebook is adding a ‘hug’ reaction to add some extra love to your feed

Anyone else miss the smell of someone who isn’t your quarantine buddy on day 4 of a showerless isolation? We can’t wait to squeeze the crap out of our friends when all of this is over, luckily, thanks to Facebook, we can now hug our pals virtually!
No, it’s not the same, but it’ll have to do for now. We’re all hurtin’ for some comfort and affection, so we guess the idea of an embrace will count for something.

On Facebook, we will launch a seventh Reaction alongside the existing six. The new Care Reaction will start rolling out next week globally and you can use it to react to posts, comments, images, videos, or other content on the app and https://t.co/t0PZL74vjg pic.twitter.com/PkpbCoPc4F

This ‘internet snuggle’ will join existing reactions like anger, sadness, and excitement, and can be sent in the form of a vibrating heart in messenger, or a grinning yellow marble with arms on status updates. Cute.
Can we request a ‘drunk before noon’ or ‘not wearing pants’ emoticon, next? You know, just other every day quarantine things.
Let us know what else you would send to your friends under the circumstance! Thanks for the hug, Facebook. We appreciate your efforts.
